What makes Mr. Poster so great?
Mr. Poster does everything that any other poster-maker does. For real. We downloaded and tested them all. There's nothing you can do that Mr. Poster won't do -- and Mr. Poster does it better, cheaper AND faster.
So how do I get rid of that annoying splash screen?
There IS NO splash screen. How's that for twisted logic? The splash screen only exists in the
FREE trial version of Mr. Poster. So ... all you have to do is pay the $8.95 (you're kidding me! only 8.95?) to buy the fully-licensed and registered version of Mr. Poster. There's no catch. I'm just getting blank pages. How do I get my poster to print?
Crazy as it may seem, some printers don't let us print within .5 inches of the edge on all sides of the page, and when we try, they print NOTHING instead of cropping the image. We don't understand why you'd build a printer driver that works that way, but then we don't write printer drivers for a living. To solve this problem, click the "Jumbo Margins" check box under "Step 1" of the application, and you'll get smaller images (a full ONE INCH of margin) but your printer will actually print ... and after all, isn't that the point?
I tried 'Jumbo Margins' and I'm still getting nothing. What now?
Make sure you're set to print to the right printer (click on the Print Setup button if you're not sure), then take a look at the print preview. The print preview button (in the upper right-hand corner) shows exactly what we're sending to your printer, as well as what printer your set to print to, and how the pages are configured.
What the heck? The print preview looks fine, but my poster still won't print!
Try generating your poster as a PDF file. You should be able to click the PDF button to create a PDF document that includes each page of your poster, and then send the PDF file to your printer using Adobe's Acrobat Reader (or a similar tool). I'm using A4 paper. Heck, most of the civilized world is using A4 paper. Do I have to use 8.5 x 11 paper to use Mr. Poster?
Heck no. There's a handy drop-down box with support for portrait and landscape US Letter, US Legal, US Tabloid, A4 and A3 paper sizes.
There's no drop down box for paper sizes and/or there's no 'Jumbo Margins' check box. What's the deal?
Support for A4 paper and Jumbo Margins were added to the 1.0.3 release of Mr. Poster. If you don't see these check boxes, you must be running a version prior to the 1.0.3 release. No problem. Download the most-current release on our
downloads page.
