COMMON QUESTIONS AND QUICK ANSWERS
MORE THAT YOU PROBABLY CARE TO KNOW ABOUT 2G NOTEWORKS
What makes 2G NoteWorks so great?
2G NoteWorks does everything Notepad should do but doesn't. It edits text files of ANY size, make NO formatting changes, and provides integrated character counts, line counts, and X/Y coordinates, all with virtually no memory requirements and a tiny thumbprint (less than 250k).
So how do I get rid of that annoying splash screen?
There IS NO splash screen. How's that for twisted logic? The splash screen only exists in the
FREE trial version of 2G NoteWorks. So ... all you have to do is pay the $9.95 to buy the fully-licensed and registered version of 2G NoteWorks. There's no catch. Just buy it, install the update, and your splash screen is gone. Are you salivating for the opportunity to purchase? Just

How do I associate my text documents with 2G NoteWorks?
Easy Peasy. Right-click on the icon of the text file you want to open with 2G NoteWorks, and then click 'Open With'. If there is already more than one program associated with the file type, 'Open With' will expand to give you a choice of programs to open this file in. There is also an option labelled 'Choose Program' in this expanded menu. That's the one you want. Click 'Choose Program'. A new window will open. It's labelled 'Open With' (how appropriate!). You can select 2G NoteWorks from that list. WAIT! You're not done yet. Select the 'Always use this program to open these files' option to make 2G NoteWorks the default program used to open these files when you double-click on 'em. Now, you can click 'OK'. You're done.
How do I get 2G NoteWorks to be my editor-of-choice when I 'view source' in Internet Explorer?
2G NoteWorks has a menu option that'll replace Notepad with 2G NoteWorks. Using this menu option will re-associate ALL Notepad documents to 2G NoteWorks, and make 2G NoteWorks your default 'source' editor in Internet Explorer. In fact, you'll probably never see Notepad again. Sound cool? Just fire up 2G NoteWorks and select the 'Help' menu, then choose 'Always use 2G NoteWorks' from the 'Help' menu. Easy as pie.
How do I get ketchup stains out of my t-shirts?
It's not easy. Here's what works for us. First, sponge the stain with cold water. If you've got some glycerin handy, rub that in, too. Wait about 30 minutes. After that, give the stained area a little washing with warm soapy water. If the stain remains, sponge it with a bit of hydrogen peroxide and rinse it with some nice, cold water.
Can I search and replace across a whole folder of documents?
You bet you can! 2G NoteWorks includes the most powerful plain-text search and replace we've ever seen. When you select 'Find and Replace' from the main menu, you can select to search a single document, all open documents, or specify a whole folder of documents. Cooler still, you can specify to search every text file in a folder, or specify an extension (or several). Check it out. It even works in the FREE trial version; and this feature alone more than pays for the $9.95 (WOW! It's less than $10 for the fully-registered version?!?) purchase price.
How do render HTML in 2G NoteWorks?
Click. There's a handy button with a little globe on it, and that'll open a live preview of your current text. There's even a handy 'refresh' button on the bottom to update the preview. You don't need to save your text, open a separate application or ANYTHING. You can even drag the preview window outside of the 2G NoteWorks application window. Click, and you're done.
