NOTE: You may be wondering why the installer is so huge. 4.84 MB -- while not that large by today's standards -- is pretty big for a NOTEPAD program, for crying out loud. You'll be happy to know that the actual program itself is less than 300 KB in total size. It's trim, quick, and flawless. The 4.84 MB installer includes various run-time components designed to support various operating systems. Did you know, for instance, that the Microsoft Visual C++ runtime library for Windows 2000 is different than the runtime library for Windows NT w/ Service Pack 6? It is. And that's to say nothing of the various files we've included for compatibility in any version of Windows 9X (including Windows ME). We provide you with a 4.84 MB installer for a 284 KB program because we want to make sure -- no matter what OS you're using -- that the installer works correctly ... as does 2G NoteWorks.
